Truckee River:
Chilly time on the Truckee has arrived. Let's hope Mother Nature continues to bring snowy storms through the coming months. Currently there are fish to be caught. Midges and Baetis are main bug choices. Lots of ice along the river. Ice can be dangerous, be careful!

Pyramid Lake:
Pyramid Lake has not been red hot, but there are reasonable chances at hookups most days, with the bite gradually improving as we get deeper into the cold months. Both midges and streamers have produced. Hands can get cold stripping wet line on a frigid days. Indicator fishing can be more comfortable and keep the chill to a minimum. It has been a game of keeping flies in the strike zone as long as possible lately.  Patriot Midge, Marabou Midge, Pyramid Brassie, Bunny Strippers, Popcorn beetles are all good choices.
