Truckee River Fishing Report:
Fluctuating water flows and inclement Spring weather can make for some tough fishing on the Truckee River, but there are opportunities at fish.  Longer days and warming temps have triggered some early Spring hatches of bwos, skwala stones, caddis, and midges.
Nymphing with Stonefly/bwo patterns has been most productive.
Baetis (bwo) hatches begin ~ noon and last till about 3:30.  Some days there are multiple dry fly opportunities, other days risers have been very isolated.
Streamers have been somewhat productive.  Sculpin patterns in Olive, Black or White.
Rainbow trout are on the spawn.  Be careful not to wade over redds or disturb procreating trout.
Clean beds of gravel substrate along bottom of the riverbed or paired up fish should be off limits to all respectful anglers.

Pyramid Lake:
Fishing at Pyramid Lake has turned excellent!  Fish are close to shore and eating.
Midges under an indicator has been where it's at.  Stock your boxes with the Patriot Midge, Pyramid Brassie, Marabou Midge, Bomber Chironomid, and the Frostbite Midge.  Hang 'em under an indicator between 5-8 ft and get 'em in the water.  There are some great fishing days to be had in the next couple months out here!  Book your trip with Arlo soon!
