Fishing Report

Update May 9 , 2015

Truckee River:
Flows dropped  through Reno, could be worse.
Fishy river right now, but conditions have been changing daily.
Bwos still fairly consistent in the afternoons. Sometimes the fish are on 'em. Other days not so much. Caddis, stones, midges also gaining activity. Spring bugs are coming.
Carp fishing has been fantastic. Carp have been making their Spring appearance in the Truckee River, and always offer great sport.
Haven't fly fished for carp? Give it a go. Challenging and  a lotta fun.
Be safe, Be clean, be courteous. And pray for wet weather.

Pyramid Lake:
Still fish in the shallows at Pyramid Lake. Nymphing tactics have proven most productive. Patriot Midges, Marabou Midges, Pyramid Brassies, Copper Johns, and Pheasant tails have been top flies. Stripping flies include Bunny Strippers, Dragonfly Nymphs, or tui chub imitations. It has been a great year out at Pyramid, and there is still some spring fishing to be had. Book a trip soon.
