Fishing Report

Truckee River Fishing Report:
Truckee River is clear and ready to fish. Tie on a Tungsten Jigstone (#8,10, 12) and a small mayfly trailing nymph (Sloan's Mighty May or Pheasant Tail  #16-18), and present through fishy water.  Skwala stones should gain activity in the coming weeks. Blue wing olive hatches have been somewhat consistent in the afternoons.  Streamer choices should include crayfish, sculpin, or small trout/whitefish imitations.

Pyramid Lake:
Pyramid Lake has been fishing great through the past couple weeks. Fishing should continue to improve as Spring rolls in. Easy fishing for big fish!  Nymphs have outproduced streamer patterns last few outings. Stock up on some heavy tippets (1X 2X 3X) and proven flies (Patriot Midges, Pyramid Brassies, Marabou Midges, Bunny Strippers, diving beetles, wooly worms) and go give yourself a chance at a 20 plus lb. cutthroat.
